What do you both do for a living?

We both work at a True Value. This is why we may choose not to go to Lowe’s or Home Depot when doing renovation projects. Yes, we have an employee discount. This is also why we may know a little more about electrical wiring, paint, and rental equipment than your average joe.

How old are you two?

We’re young! Jason is 24 and I’m 23. Even though we know a little more about renovating, we don’t know everything. Heck, this is still my first year out of college. I’m still adjusting to work instead of school!

What did your house look like when you bought it?

Our house used to be a rental home for families. When we moved in, a mask of white paint over everything was used to cover up the flaws. We have more holes in doors than your average homeowner and our lawn was never taken care of, so we are starting from the bottom up in manycases of our home. You can see the before and afters here.

Your Puppy Updates are adorable.

Thanks! We have two puppies, Charlie & Zoey. They are both miniature dachshunds.

What camera do you use to take your pictures?

The camera we use is a Sony Cybershot DSC-2. We are definitely not professional photographers but we’re trying.

What kind of laptop do you use?

In the beginning months, it was written on a Dell. We have just recently switched from PC to Mac, and we now use a 15″ Macbook Pro.

What’s your favorite place to shop for your home?

My favorite store for furniture, accessories, etc. is Ikea. I LOVE Ikea. Can’t get enough of that Swedish innovation.
